ABOUT SIMPLE MOVEMENTS

At Simple Movements, movement is medicine.

I am committed to helping people move and move with ease by exploring the depths of your being. It is my goal to inspire and motivate you to stay active, healthy and fit.

I am a manual therapist, offering treatment based upon your needs. A highly skilled therapist , I will know whether to address musculoskeletal conditions, relieve chronic pain or just to help you relax.

I provide ongoing instruction and education to help improve posture, breathing, strength, flexibility, balance and bodywork. I offer group classes, private sessions, and specialty workshops focused on yoga and massage.
Simple Movements began in Leadville, Colorado in 2003. I moved to Michigan and brought Simple Movements  with me. I currently reside in La Junta, Colorado as a mobile therapist.   After 20 years of practicing yoga and massage, I earned my Doctorate from the University of St. Augustine in Physical Therapy to advance in the field of therapy, and build on my philosophy of using movement as medicine.

I am a lifelong learner who enjoys the opportunity to share my knowledge with the community.  I attended  Southeastern School of Neuromuscular & Massage Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina where I discovered my passion for the healing arts. Since then, I have explored a plethora of continuing education courses which provide a deep understanding of the mechanics and systems of the body. In my classes and treatment sessions I use my knowledge of the body to provide manual therapy, guidance and education about the importance of movement.

Each session will strategically incorporate Massage, Yoga and/or Physical Therapy techniques to help address common complaints like headaches, back pain and more. Simple Movements offers a variety of complementary and alternative modalities to choose from including Massage, Lymph Drainage Therapy, CranioSacral Therapy, myofascial release, cupping, trigger point release, deep-tissue massage, hot stone treatment, Thai massage, Aromatherapy, Nutrition Guidance, Pranyama (breathing), Therapeutic Exercise and more!
